Happy Customers Make Us Smile!

It’s always rewarding when people enjoy the B3 experience. Sometimes it’s hard to put what you try to achieve as a business in words without sounding conceited or false so it’s great when our customers sing our praises instead!
Here’s an email we had recently from Sadiq Absar who travelled from Luton, Bedfordshire with his son, Abdullah to experience the B3 treatment for themselves and to make sure that Abdullah got the ideal bat for his age, size and stage of cricket development.
I just wanted to say a quick thank you to yourself and Tom for showing Abdullah and I around the workshop and net on Saturday. Abdullah thoroughly enjoyed the experience and can’t wait to receive his new bat.
As a young colt in the early stages of a [hopefully] long cricketing journey it is important to keep his enjoyment of the game at a maximum and one of the ways to do that is to ensure he has kit that is appropriate for him and that will help him to make the most of his ability. We went through two bats in very quick succession as he progressed from school to club cricket, on each occasion buying something cheap but better than the previous bat. Once he was selected for the county under 10’s team I realised that maybe he was actually quite good! Selecting a bat to use at this level proved much harder and we visited numerous shops within a reasonable distance from home and honestly spent hours selecting a bat that we felt was most appropriate, particularly pickup wise, and importantly one that he was happy with.
When his bat met its end a few weeks ago we had to get something in time for the county trials next month and decided to visit B3 to see if it would be easier to get something appropriate for him. Wow! What a different experience to the difficulty we experienced previously. Having first yourself and then Tom produce a selection of bats for my son to try was really useful. The fact the bats were all differing slightly in weight/pickup was very important as the margins between a bat feeling right and a bat he is not comfortable with are very small. I don’t think we would have been able to do this in any of the shops we had visited previously. Once the hard part of selecting the right bat was over we moved on to the even harder part of choosing which stickers to put on the bat. Although not critical in affecting his performance 🙂 it does have a big impact on the enjoyment of the whole experience for a ten year old so it’s a really nice option that buyers of your bats have.
All in all the four hour round trip was well worth it and I’m sure we’ll be making it again as he grows!

Obviously not everyone can make it to Nottingham so we’ve created as near a personal service as possible with Skype and telephone. Because all of the people at B3 know the game and have played themselves – we can listen to your needs, take some details and still make you your dream bat. We will send designs and photographs of clefts and various shapes to help you make the right choice.
Also, as a fail-safe, if you get the bat we’ve designed and you’re not entirely happy, well make you another and swap it without question. You can’t say fairer than that!
