We are extremely pleased to have signed Pakistan star Shaan Masood as a B3 Sponsored Ambassador.
The 26 year old has played 7 Test matches for Pakistan and due to recent performances in domestic cricket he is “in the mix” to take a top order slot in both the Tests and ODI’s against England this summer. Another factor which may persuade the Pakistan selectors to opt for Shaan is his experience in English conditions. He attended Stamford School as an A level student in 2009, where he was particularly successful, scoring 1237 runs at an average of 103, a school record. He also played three first-class games for Durham University, facing the likes of Liam Plunkett, Graham Onions and Ajmal Shehzad.
Shaan is a technically correct, patient opening batsman, ideal for Test cricket. His role model is England Captain Alastair Cook, which says something about the kind of batsman he wants to become. Hopefully Shaan will spend a lot of time playing against his idol this summer and also show the world just how good B3 Cricket really are.
In the top player stakes, it’s hard for the smaller brands to compete with the big boys who throw a lot of money at sponsorship. Fortunately we cater for the type of cricketer who knows what they want and know you can’t buy the same bat as a pro, “off the shelf”. At B3 we treat everyone the same. If you want a bat the same as Shaan or any other of our pros like Mull (Steve Mullaney, Notts CCC) or Pepsi (Tom Kohlar-Cadmore, Worcester CCC) etc., we will treat you exactly the same. Once we’ve selected the right piece of willow, our advanced manufacturing will make you your perfect cricket bat.
When Bumble visited last month he was amazed at what we are doing, our service is unique and it’s great that Shaan is more interested in the consistency and quality of his bats and equipment, that why he’s come to B3! His shape is very popular with the top pros but he has a few personal tweaks and preferences which we have catered for! We’ve also made some special Pakistan stickers which will be available to supporters who want a bat just like Shaan’s!
Good luck to Shaan, the boys here at B3 will obviously want him to do well as long as England still win!
