B3 HONOURS BOARD, LUCA MAKES HISTORY

Having been accepted on the B3 Cricket Ambassador Programme, Luca Pemberton first visited B3 with his Mum back in 2019. After a COVID hit 2020 season, which was challenging for cricket in general, 2021 has been a stellar year for the up and coming youngster.
Playing for Delph Cricket Club in a friendly game against Lostock, Luca, aged 13, opened the batting and made 101 in 108 deliveries, including 16 fours. What made this even more rewarding is that Luca shared a 117 run second wicket partnership with his brother Zak.
Delph eventually accrued a colossal total of 370-4 in 40 overs. After the match, club officials believe that Luca is the younger ever centurion in adult cricket in the club’s history.
The Lancashire lad, who lives in Greenfield, also reached another cricketing milestone recently when he made his first half-century for Lancashire Under 13’s at Durham.
Congratulation Luca, keep up the hard work, winter well, and we look forward to more success in 2022.
